Craving a little something sweet, but cookies didn’t make the budget? Let’s open the fridge and see what we’ve got!
This three ingredient homemade cinnamon pastry is good for churro cravings and cinnamon roll cravings, and it’s not nearly as bad for you!
To make these faux treats, grab a tortilla, some maple syrup and a jar of cinnamon.
Preheat the oven to 400* (this is also the temperature to set for toast, if you don’t have a toaster)
Set the tortilla on a plate and pour syrup (about the size of a quarter) onto the center and sprinkle a dash of cinnamon. Spread. Repeat on the other side. Add apples for a fun twist!
Roll the tortilla up like a taquito and stick it in the oven for 3 1/2-4 minutes (or more depending on how crispy you like it. 3 1/2-4 gets it a little crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside.
Turn on the oven light and watch the syrup boil and then take it out and enjoy!
Careful, it’ll be hot 🙂
