An Update on E and V

Y’all, Kanda Land has not fallen off the face of the earth, it is just not quick to edit a 720-page manuscript.

Especially when you are an author who, whenever they read through their manuscript, goes, “hey! Wouldn’t it be great to add 30 extra pages of the story right here in the middle of the book and change the whole course of the story?!?!?!” And then you hate it a day later….

Kanda Land isn’t changing, in case you were concerned.

But it probably would have.

These manic episodes are so common for me when I am experiencing boredom in editing (boredom, procrastination, excitement). I really wish I could just give you their entire world and every waking breath, because I know that this is really what readers desire, but,… anyhow. 720 pages it is.

ALSO, I’m starting to create the cover page. I’ve had an idea of what I’ve wanted for… years; you know, probably as many as I’ve been writing Kanda Land (😫), but I suck at artistry beyond stick figures and cartoon dogs. So…

Other than that, here’s a cute little scene to tease your appetite for the adventures of E and V, until you can finally satiate yourself in their world when the book is published. Hopefully not in two more years. (Just kidding, it should now be by the end of this year, supposing I can find a good publisher that I can afford.

E recognized that picture somehow. Looking closer at the details in the small drawing of the girl’s face, she realized it was herself. This was of a photo that E had given to her a long time ago; V had drawn it. When she flipped the page, she saw the photo taped to the back of it. E touched it. V had kept it after all this time.
