Listen, I’m just too excited to not share another little sneak peek teaser with y’all.
Thus, without further ado, a snippet from page 85:
“
All of the drama of yesterday rendered them shaken in the morning and they awakened to the changed course of their journeys. The mist settled differently on the grass; the sun rose seemingly solemnly; and the cool morning breeze sauntered sorrowfully by, and the city was nestled in a gloomy, grey fog. Yesterday had happened, and it wasn’t just a bad dream.
We visit E who is just awakening to realize, number one, she is alive, in one piece, and still nestled in these branches where she’d fallen asleep. That was good news to her. She breathed a sigh of relief, which indeed was a hallelujah.
The birds were beginning to flit among the trees again and play about. A sparrow darting from a branch near her spooked her, but then she laughed.
The wind was much gentler than it was last night, and so the dancing of her clothes had quieted to only an easy swaying now. She began sitting up to get a better bearing and peeked back out to the blue house. She saw a yellow sign perched at the beginning of the forest.
…After her heart jumped, the first thought that came to E’s mind was: What does she want with me? She was curious as to why this woman was so pursuant of her. This just seemed like one of those circumstances where a kidnapper poses as an ice cream truck—except for homeless and hitchhiking adults.
E shuddered. People were always onto her; she could seemingly never escape it.
She peered down and searched the whole forest floor that was in sight of where she sat perched in this tree. There was no one there. No traps, either, that she could see.
She carefully got up, realizing that a whole lot of her joints didn’t appreciate sleeping against a hard and oddly-shaped surface. She groaned.
Feeling her clothes, she was pleased to find that they’d dried a little overnight. Enough that she could neatly fold them and put them in her backpack’s pocket. She looked around for anything else, but she hadn’t had much to begin with; just her clothes and her bag and her self.
Checking the grounds again for any visitors, she carefully climbed down and dropped to the leafy floor.”

So anyhow, catch ya on the flip side! (I have edited 13 pages today. It’s not a lot. I know. I’m still working on it. I just got excited. At least I didn’t change the plot!!)
Strength to you all,

I’m trying to figure out how to make a “like” button public, so that everyone can like posts and not just people with accounts. Trust me, I’ve been trying to figure this out for years, it doesn’t make sense ðŸ˜LikeLike
